A mouth guard (or gum shield) is a protective dental appliance worn when playing contact sports. It helps to protect the teeth and other parts of the mouth from damage when participating in the more vigorous sporting activity.
Your dentist takes impressions of your teeth and the dental technician uses these to construct a well-fitting mouth guard. Custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly, our mouth guards help to provide superior protection.
The thickness of the mouth guard and level of protection required will be dependent on the type of sport being played, for example, activities such as ice hockey will need a much more robust appliance. The process usually only takes around a week and our mouth guards can be produced in a variety of colours and designs.
