Rebecca graduated from the University of Glasgow with commendation in 1997. Since then she has been working in general dental practice in Aberdeen. In December 2014, she gained a distinction in her Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from the University of Bristol and in January 2020 was further awarded a Master of Science also with distinction. She continues to be committed to postgraduate education for the benefit of her patients by continual postgraduate training, being active in Peer Review and being part of professional clubs and societies.
Rebecca joined the team at The Dental Practice in 2015 and provides general dentistry for all ages but, in particular, she is responsible for the care of the practice’s youngest patients – an area she finds both rewarding and satisfying. She also has an interest in helping those who need extra support to receive dental treatment, whether due to anxiety or phobia and is part of the team who provides sedation, for those who require it, at the practice.
In addition to working in general practice, Rebecca has an appointment as a part-time Clinical Lecturer at The Institute of Dentistry, University of Aberdeen, teaching, supervising and supporting students as they learn clinical skills in restorative dentistry and pain relief.
Outside of work she spends her time organising the busy lives of her four children.
